Domestic Long Hair (long coat) Cat

Cleo the Cat needs a home

Hi. My name is Cleo. I was named by my foster dad because I didn't have a name before at the impound where I was.  I don't know what happened to me, but I found myself outside. It was really, really cold and snowy and I was trying to keep warm in a ditch when somebody found me.  I had frostbite on my paws, ears and my tail.  And from what I think I overheard when I was at the vet my tail will probably need to be amputated as a result of being outside in the cold.  I really don't want to lose my tail, but I guess now that I'm safe and warm it will be ok.  I'm a really sweet cat, and enjoy it when you rub my belly.  I'll roll over and do "air biscuits" with my paws when you scratch me and purr non stop.  I really love to be held and petted, and scratched. But, dogs scare me and other cats haven't been that kind to me either. I'd probably get along with them fine after we got to know each other. But, unless I feel safe or have my human with me I'll probably run away and hide for awhile.  I don't have a good way to protect myself since both my front and rear paws have been declawed, leaving me defenseless and scared in strange places.  I would love to be someone's house kitty - especially in a quiet, loving home who'd enjoy a sweet girl like me lounging next to you or on your lap while you pet me.  I'll purr you to sleep and let you know how much I love and appreciate you.
